Aim & Objective
To celebrate and unlock the true spirit of Chittagong. This attempt will surely bring out Chittagong’s rich history and cultural heritage, and thus revitalize the true potential of Chittagong as a commercial city in the emerging market.
Isha Khan, Ashraf and Md. Ibrahim, three young and promising photographers of Photobank Gallery, have won the prestigious Asahi ShimbunAwards by participating in the 72 International Photographic Salon 2011.
Among them, Isha Khan is awarded for his work `Struggle’, Ashraf for `Friends’, and Md. Ibrahim for `Garbage and Child’.
WHO MAY ENTER: Anyone except employees of Nielsen and their families.
ENTERING THE CONTEST
Photographers may submit images for consideration. An entry consists of a
single image. Individuals may pay to enter an unlimited amount of times.
ENTRY FEES:$45 per single entry/$55
per series/$25 for student. PhotoServe membership entry fees: $32 per image |
$40 per series.Submissions received
after 1/25/12 will be subject to an additional late fee of $10 (through
extended deadline period of 2/17/2012).
The Portrait Award, now in its thirty-third year at the
National Portrait Gallery and twenty-third year of sponsorship by BP, is an
annual competition aimed at encouraging artists to focus upon and develop
portraiture in their work.
The BP Portrait Award 2012 exhibition will run at the
National Portrait Gallery, London, from 21 June to 23 September 2012.
Open to everyone over 18
The competition is open to everyone aged 18 and over in
recognition of the outstanding and innovative work currently being produced by
artists of all ages working in portraiture.
